Unique structures with one-of-a-kind
natural healing resources
– these are the colonnades and springs
in Františkovy Lázně
In Františkovy Lázně, mineral water is captured by means of low-depth and drilled wells.
In the first case (low-depth well), the mineral spring is captured and drawn from a depth of 4 m. Lower mineralisation and average CO2 content make the water more suitable for the drinking cure.
These springs include František, New, Meadow, Salt, Palliardi, Natalie, Cartellieri, Žofie, Ferrous, and Štěpánka.
The second type are drilled wells yielding water of higher mineralisation and variable CO2 content. These sources are utilised for the drinking cure – Glauber II, Glauber I, Sun, Stanislav, Luisa, as well as for balneological purposes – Glauber III, New Church, Adler, and Marian. The deepest well is Glauber IV rising from a depth of 92.6 m
