Just like the two younger Orthodox churches in Karlovy Vary and in Mariánské Lázně, the Church of St Olga in Františkovy Lázně is the work of local architect Gustav Wiedermann, who was recognised for his work far beyond the borders of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
The building alludes to Russian sacred architecture. It was built within a mere 192 working days and was completed in May 1889.
