Paraffin Packs


Description

A heated mixture of paraffin wax and oil is used. Paraffin at a temperature of 40 – 42 °C is applied to the treated area of the body, improving blood circulation to the tissues, the mobility of joints, and helps alleviate pain of the locomotor segment. Heat passes through the tissues evenly.

Paraffin packs are suitable for:

  • treating chronic degenerative disorders of the spine and joints
  • relieving muscle tension, and overall relaxation

Paraffin packs are not suitable for the gravely and acutely ill, pregnant women.

Paraffin packs of the hands are appropriate for:

  • improving the hand joint mobility, alleviating joint pain
  • moisturising the hands

Paraffin packs of the hands are not suitable for the gravely and acutely ill.
