In 2008, Jiří Černý created a monument to the famous native of Františkovy Lázně, August Brömse, a painter, graphic artist, and professor at the Prague Academy of Fine Arts.
The core of the composition is formed by the original tombstone of Brömse, which was removed from the now-defunct cemetery in Horní Lomany.
